FCUK – Friction for Her
This floral-fruity gourmand fragrance has some delightfully warming tones hidden within it. Top notes of pink honeysuckle, apple blossom, red berries and coconut give this fragrance the air of cocktails on the beach, which is gloriously enhanced by the mid notes of vanilla, pink jasmine and spun sugar. Laid over a base of vetiver, sandalwood, musk and amber, this is a soft and seductive scent that will have you hooked in no time.
Presented in a contemporary bottle of half-textured-glass, half-plastic, in line with its siblings, the stark, crisp white at the top is a chic addition to make the bottle really pop.
D & G – The One for Men
Launched in 2008, The One for Men, from global fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana, is a woody, spicy fragrance with a very masculine air about it. Top notes of grapefruit, coriander and basil give an earthy, zingy opening, which softens when the mid notes of ginger, cardamom and orange blossom join in. the base of tobacco, cedar and amber gives this scent a warming glow without sweetening it.
This fragrance comes in a classic oblong bottle in plain glass with the amber contents showing and a logo in the bottom corner. The chunky, oblong topper is industrial yet stylish. This fragrance is also available in a gift set.
Paco Rabanne – Olympea Legend
This fragrance for women is relatively new (released 2019), and is a sweet, spicy fragrance with a soft, sweet centre. Top notes of plum and apricot are warm and sweet and mid notes of ginger flower help to keep this up. A base of amber, vanilla and tonka bean give a sweet and creamy base and help it last all day.
The bottle is striking and is embellished a little like a laurel wreath at the edges, in clear glass and with pink contents. The topper is understated, rounded glass.
