Easter is here, along with all the family get-togethers and spring picnics that go with it. As the seasons change and climate warms up, why not add some new fragrances to keep you smelling as tip-top as you look.

This is a little look at what is hot right now in the perfume department.

Paco Rabanne – Olympea – Legend EDP for Women

This is a fairly recent fragrance, released in 2019, and its sweet, floral vibe makes it a perfect spring companion. Top notes of plum, apricot and sea salt give it a soft, muted-fruit opening, while the mid-notes of blended florals and ginger flower give it a warm and delicate centre. The base of vanilla, tonka bean, amber and sand lay a great foundation for a sweet and mellow fragrance. Like its sister fragrance, Olympea – Legend comes in a round edged bottle with embellished gold wings on the side. The lid is a chunky, gold pull-off and the pastel pink liquid is on display.

Viktor & Rolf – Spice Bomb – Night Vision Men’s EDT

Another fragrance from the same year, Spice Bomb – Night Vision, from Viktor & Rolf is an amber fougere fragrance with a distinctly masculine air. Top notes of Granny Smith apple, green cardamom, green mandarin and grapefruit give it a fresh and fruity opening, while the mid notes of black chili, black pepper, clove, nutmeg, sage and geranium give it a really spicy kick whilst keeping the scent cool. The base of almonds, tonka bean and woody notes add depth and give an outdoor effect to the scent. The bottle is the now-classic Spice Bomb hand grenade, black at the top fading to a night vision- effect green in the bottom.

Calvin Klein – CK2 – Unisex EDT

This unisex fragrance from one of the world’s most popular perfume brands was released in 2016. A woody, aromatic fragrance, its unusual ingredients give a fresh and urban feel to this fragrance. Top notes are wasabi, violet leaf and mandarin, orange and pear and these are laid over scents from wet pebbles, hedione, orris root, peony and rose. The woody base of vetiver, sandalwood and incense tames the wild scents in the top notes and lets it find a cool centre. The bottle is a minimalist design, a cylinder of clear glass that can be kept either way up, with the logo printed on the front in classic CK style.
